North Korea attacks joint US-South Korean military exercises!

A North Korean sub fired torpedoes at US and South Korean destroyers during both countries joint military exercises. One of the torpedoes caused minor damage to a South Korean destroyer. The North Korean sub was immediately tracked and and sunk by the US-South Korean navies. North Korean survivors were captured and taken to holding awaiting interrogation.

North Korea has been known to conduct sabre-rattling every year during the joint military exercises with no action eventually being taken. This marks a significant change in course for the hermit country. US-South Korean forces are planning a measured response to the North's aggressive actions.
